One of them wanders out of the ground and he captires it. What happens next? Read on to find out.I think that Silver Lake Middle School students should read this book for many reasons> One, even though Artemis is special, he still suffers from the same teenager problems that most other teens suffer from. Second, this book is a series, so if people like it, they can read five more. Finally, it teaches many lessons, mostly greed versus friendship.

Born to Rock; Gordan Korman

Leo, an 18 year old hardcore republican, has it all going for him, good grades, and even a Harvard Scholarship, that is, until he finds himself defending the least likely of people. The reason for this defending is because his biological father is McMurphy, the king of punk (A.K.A. King Maggot), and Leo released this rebellious side of him out. Ruined and humiliated, he takes a job with McMurphy and his punk rock band, Purge, as a roadie. As the summer goes on, Leo and McMurphy learn things sbout hthenselves that they never knew before the summer even began. I recommend this book because many unexpected things happen at peculiar times of the story. Overall, Born to Rock is a solid, good book that you will have to keep reading because you cannot put the book down. As you read on, the point is evident, "This book is too good to stop reading."

Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements

Bobby Phillips was your average, shy high schooler who thought he was invisible among his peers. However, he didn't really know what being invisible was like until one morning. He woke up and got ready for school, only to find nothing in the mirror! With no reasonable explanation available, Bobby turned invisible! Without having the privilege to hang out with friends anymore, Bobby meets a sweet blind girl named Alicia. He can't help but to gain trust in her. Meanwhile, people start to wonder where Bobby went and this puts his family in jeapordy with the state. Will Bobby ever turn back to being a normal boy, or stay invisible for the rest of his life?I find this book very imaginitive and creative. Things Not Seen is not like many other books. By that I mean that it is not a book about a regular old day like the Clique Series, but it's not like the Eldest or Harry Potter type of fantasy book. This book is a fun adventure and has some lessons waiting to be learned along the way.

Macy enlists the help of her new friends and achieves things that she never thought possible. This book shows how little determination and friendly help can move a person so far. The story in this book is cute, fun to read, and inspiring. It teaches you how to be yourself no matter what challenges you are faced with. I know readers will enjoy this book!

Melinda has ups and downs all throughout the book.Read the book and find out what happend that summer night at the party.Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson was a great book. The main character is about the same age as us which means that we can ralate to her struggles, and emotions that kids our age face. Speak was a awsome book and I know that Silver Lake would enjoy it also.
