Born to Rock; Gordan Korman

Leo, an 18 year old hardcore republican, has it all going for him, good grades, and even a Harvard Scholarship, that is, until he finds himself defending the least likely of people. The reason for this defending is because his biological father is McMurphy, the king of punk (A.K.A. King Maggot), and Leo released this rebellious side of him out. Ruined and humiliated, he takes a job with McMurphy and his punk rock band, Purge, as a roadie. As the summer goes on, Leo and McMurphy learn things sbout hthenselves that they never knew before the summer even began. I recommend this book because many unexpected things happen at peculiar times of the story. Overall, Born to Rock is a solid, good book that you will have to keep reading because you cannot put the book down. As you read on, the point is evident, "This book is too good to stop reading."
