This book is about a little village in Ireland called Kinvara. There never seems to be enough time. When the main character's, J.J, mother asks for more time on her birthday, he journeys off to find it. J.J finds himself in a whole other world where people never grow old. Unfortunately, he is not sure how to get the time fro his mother. Read this book and the question will be answeed along with the secret of the new policeman!This book is a great high paced thriller to read. It even has a song at the end of each chapter. The New Policeman has won many awards including The Guardian Children's Book Prize. Also, it is a winner of The Whitebread Children's Book Award and Dublin Airport Authority Children's Book of the Year Award for 2005! Thsi book was even given, in rating, a 4.5 out of 5!
